In minutes we can zap these benign lesions to give you the clear skin and cosmetic results you desire. Meet with our dermatologist and team at the Interior Dermatology Centre of Kelowna, British Columbia to discover cryotherapy.
The Benefits of Cryotherapy
Cryotherapy is a simple, non-invasive way to remove skin irregularities, such as skin tags, warts, moles, brown spots, or other seborrheic keratoses (non-cancerous skin growths).
Liquid nitrogen is precision-applied, triggering an immune response in your body to begin replacing damaged cells with new ones. Your benign skin lesions are naturally replaced with fresh, clear skin in a matter of weeks.
Cryotherapy has minimal discomfort and no downtime, making it a quick, accessible solution for unwanted lesions. Lesions include:
Moles

Our board certified dermatologists will help you determine the best treatment plan for your unique skin goals. There will be time to talk through what to expect, side effects and expected results and, of course, answer any questions you may have. This can be done in advance or at the time of your treatment.
-
Our team will apply the cryotherapy to the treatment area. Treatments are quick and mostly painless, between 5-10 minutes.

Liquid nitrogen is an extremely cold substance that, when applied to the skin, freezes and destroys tissue. When applied to a benign lesion, the damaged cells trigger an immune response in your body to begin replacing the lesion with healthy, new skin cells after a few weeks.
-
Minimal downtime. Some experience redness, irritation and slight discolouration of the underlying skin, but you’ll be able to go right back to work, school, sports – life! You may experience some temporary redness, swelling and “crusting” of treated areas, but there is little downtime after your appointment. We will send you home with after care instructions.
-
Within weeks the treated areas will become inflamed, crust over and fall off. In some cases repeat treatment is required for full resolution of more stubborn lesions.
