Atopic Dermatitis (Eczema) Clinical Research Trial

Primary Objective:

What if topical treatments aren’t helping you with eczema? Medical researchers are looking for an alternative. If you have atopic dermatitis (eczema) and an intolerance or inadequate response to topical treatments for it, there is an opportunity to help find a solution through a research study. Participation will be for 56-59 weeks, involve 19 visits to the study research site, and may offer compensation for study-related expenses.

Eczema Clinical Research Study – Now Enrolling

  • Adults 18-70 with atopic dermatitis (AD) may participate.

    Inclusion Criteria

    • Diagnosis of AD for at least 12 months

    • AD present on ≥10% BSA (body surface area)*

    • Have had an inadequate response to topical medications within the past 6 months, or an intolerance to topical therapy

    • Have not been treated with biologics

    • *1% of your body surface area is roughly equal to the palm of your hand (no wrists or fingers).

  • Millions of adults struggle with eczema and the constant battle against flare-ups. Although there are many creams and ointments available, they do not always address the underlying source of inflammation. This is why doctors and researchers are working to develop new medications that may better treat eczema in the future. In this study, doctors are evaluating an investigational medication that is injected under the skin to see if it can help clear moderate to severe eczema.

  • The study lasts about 1 year. During this time you will meet with your study doctor regularly to evaluate your progress and discuss your overall experiences.

  • The study is being offered at select centers throughout the US, Canada, Europe, and Australia.

At Interior Dermatology Centre, we are currently conducting a clinical study here in Kelowna.

  • No, if you qualify and chose to join the study, you will receive all studyrelated care and study medication at no cost.

  • Yes, participants will be compensated for their time and travel to attend required study visits
